This is a private records-reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Direct those requests to the appropriate agency listed below.
Start With the Correct Custodian
The county current-inmate list is a current-custody source, not a complete history. Jail Records is the best published contact for a historical incarceration question, bail change, or county-center booking-record request. For a municipal incident, use the police department that handled the report. A later case result belongs with the courts.
Charges at booking are accusations. A court disposition, not a roster entry or press release, provides the later case outcome.
Cape May County Custody and Records
The county publishes its current inmate information online. For a person ever incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center, a bail question, or a county-center record path, use Jail Records and identify the person, date range, inmate ID if known, and requested record.

The official Current Inmate Information page and Inmate Database Search are appropriate starting points for present county custody.
Police, Prosecutor, and Court Contacts
Municipal reports and county prosecution matters do not have the same custodian. Route a request to the agency that created the record. Staff may require an OPRA request or limit the information that can be released.
- Lower Township Police: 405 Breakwater Road, Erma, NJ. Use the department's records and FAQ path for a Lower Township police record.
- Middle Township Police: 31 Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210, 609-465-8700. The Records Unit handles the municipal route, including incidents in Cape May Court House.
- Cape May County Prosecutor: Use the official OPRA resource page for Prosecutor-held records and the agency's current instructions.
- Cape May Criminal Part: 609-463-6550. The official NJ Courts case search is the public starting point for case and disposition context.
Where to Look First
The home page explains the official custody, records, news, state, federal, and notification paths without treating them as interchangeable.
- For a county-custody check or booking-record route, use the Cape May County records search.
- For an official wanted flyer or a warrant-contact route, use Wanted Fugitives.
- For agency releases and the story-to-court path, use Arrest News.
- For a Lower Township or Middle Township report, begin with the local police records unit, then distinguish it from county custody.
- For state-prison custody, use the New Jersey Department of Corrections offender information source.
Private-Site Questions
Questions about this site's content, accessibility, or privacy practices can be sent through the site's contact channel when one is provided. Requests for a record correction should go first to the office that created or maintains the record. This site cannot alter an agency roster, court file, or publisher record.
